Eastwind specializes in raising and training Tennessee Walkers for trail riding. Our goal is to to ensure that each walker leaving Eastwind stables becomes more than just a horse someone owns; it becomes part of the family. Eastwind Walkers are raised and trained with All Natural Resistance Free Horsemanship training techniques. At Eastwind there are no action devices or funky shoeing methods used, nor do we sore any of our horses to enhance their gaits. Our horses are naturally gaited and their gaits are enhanced through proper riding techniques and proper collection. We interact with our horses daily to ensure that they are well adjusted and love people. They come to us in the pasture when they see us. Our horses have free reign of their Seven acre pasture. They are all wormed once a month and trimmed or shod every 8 weeks. They are on a diet of straight alfalfa twice a day, Horseguard vitamin supplement and a 3 lb. ration of horse feed daily. If you are looking for well adjusted horses that are right in the mind, have never been passed around or abused in any way, are 100% sound and free of injuries, illnesses or defects, then you have come to the right website. We are not horse traders and do not deal in volume. We raise our horses from babies and start their training at 2 years of age or older. Eastwind's Walkers are all naturally gaited and their gait of choice is a 4 beat gait. They are not pacey or trotty. We are very careful when selecting the babies that are raised here at Eastwind Stables. We look for a good mind and a natural 4 beat gait. If you can say Mash Potato and hear a foot fall with every syllable, then your horse is doing a 4 beat gait. Please visit our website and view our horses.
